He’s a good knight…

with binoculars and a magnifying glass.
Seriously, Liam is one lucky little boy.
He has so many people who love him, and think of him all the time.
We’re blessed with families that are so good to us,
I wouldn’t even know where to start, truly.
This kid is VERY well taken care of, and we’re very grateful.
This week, though, I’ve gotta say, has ranked really high on the
“Super Thoughtful Friends” scale. And I just had to share it with you.
Not long ago, I relayed a story to my friends
on a social networking site that went something like this:
Liam: Mama? Where’s my magafwing gwass?
Me: We don’t have one, honey.
Liam: Mama? I have my dinockuwars?
Me: You don’t have any binoculars, Liam.
*heavy sigh*
Liam: Then, Mama, I can have you(r) gwasses?
I just shared it because it cracked me up…
and because I was pretty darn proud of his reasoning and logic skills!
Well, about three days later, a package came from my sweet friend, Amber…
containing a kids magnifying glass!
Next, my wonderful friend Robert
showed up with the most AWESOME set
of kids binoculars that you could ever imagine –
they convert into a periscope!
(They were super at the Zoo, lemme tell you.)

So, remember the Playmobil Castle post from a few days back?
Well, just now I received a box from my buddy Lisbeth
(whom we affectionately call “Pea”)
containing a number of her son’s outgrown
“dress up” costumes.
And yes, you guessed it…
this was the costume we pulled out first:

I wish I had been thoughtful enough to tape Liam’s excitement and appreciation for each wonderful surprise, but at least I had the presence of mind to grab the camera this morning!

(I promise you – he loved the others equally as much!)

And, to all our friends who have been SO loving and wonderful…I say a teary, heartfelt “Mama Thank You.” There is nothing in the world like seeing people that you love show love to your child.

(And now I’m all weepy with snot in my nose. Thanks alot. sigh.)

I have to go now…I have to convince “Sir Liam” that he can’t wear his knight costume to the Airport to pick up Daddy…

P.S.: I have no idea why Blogger won’t put the correct spacing in my posts. I think it hates me. Sorry for the run-ons!
