Bad jokes aside, we had some holiday fun on this weekend before Halloween. Now, bear in mind that during all of this fun, Liam changed his mind about what he wants to be for Halloween four more times. The last selection was “fog”…and no, I am not kidding you.
We had every intention of going to MacDonald’s Nursery to recreate last year’s Scarecrow making fun, until Liam saw a smaller pre-made Scarecrow while we were at a craft store (where I was looking at material for the ghost costume he insisted he wanted this morning, since the half completed goblin costume has been summarily vetoed) and wanted it. Brian and I looked from him to each other to the huge 50% off sign above all the Halloween decor, thought about ALL that hay that would have inevitably ended up in the back of the van from a six foot homemade Scarecrow and said “SOLD!”
A quick trip to the grocery store yielded a ghost shaped cookie cutter, so naturally we were “haunted” that afternoon:
We were on a roll, so we dove into carving our family of little pumpkins.
(We’ll get the big one for outdoors this week.)
After reading a few books with to Daddy…somebody was ready for bed!
No doubt about it – Liam LOVES Fall, and loves Halloween. I’m sure this week will be action packed, so stay tuned! (And, meanwhile…I’ll gladly accept any and all suggestions about how to make a fog costume…sheese.)
